Polkadot Unbounded - Lisbon Ecosystem Meetup

This meetup was hosted in the main crypto co-working space in Lisbon, TheBlock https://www.theblocklisboa.com/ and co-organized with our partners Litentry and Composable Finance.
With over 45 attendees, an educational agenda and networking happy hour, this meetup gave good exposure for Phala Network to the local Lisbon community.
Our VP of Growth Zoé represented Phala at the Lisbon Meetup and educated the audience about the Basics of the Phala blockchain network as well as the power of Phat Contract.
WebSummit

WebSummit is known as “the world’s premier tech conference”, happening in Lisbon since 2016.
All big companies from the traditional Web2 business are present at this conference. Over the last 3 years, also crypto/blockchain companies have started to attend the conference and present their companies with very well designed booths.
Phala had the opportunity to join the Start-up Growth program during WebSummit including a small booth for one day, access to mentor hours as well as a pitch opportunity at the Startup stage. Overall the team was able to collect 50 contacts during the day with its company booth.
Sub0 (Polkadot’s developer conference)

sub0 is the conference for developers building at every level of the Polkadot tech stack, from custom layer-1 blockchains to dapps & smart contracts, infrastructure, tooling, cross-chain interoperability solutions, and more.
Phala Network showed strong presence at Sub0, since our team got accepted to give a workshop on Phat Contract, presence with a small booth for one afternoon, as well as co-hosting an invite only dinner for partners and community members of the ecosystem.
Joshua Waller and Zoé Meckbach both represented the Phala team during Sub0.
The invite only dinner was co-hosted with our partner Apillon and all costs were covered by the Polkadot events bounty.
Overall Phala was able to show its technical strengths during Sub0 and position itself as the main computation protocol for the Polkadot ecosystem and beyond.
Polkadot World Madrid

Polkadot World Madrid was a two day conference organized by the spanish Polkadot community and Polkadot Head Ambassadors.
With almost 200 attendees and a very professional set-up, this conference was organized very professionally and strengthened Phala’s presence in the Polkadot ecosystem.
Phala’s Growth VP, Zoé had two speaking engagements during the conference. Most of the speakers' costs were covered by the Polkadot Events bounty, however some extra costs occurred that would need to be refunded by the treasury.
Polkadot London meetup during Token2049

The “Beyond the Chain” team, which is mainly run by Parity employees, invited Phala to speak at a Polkadot meetup during the week of Token2049 in London.
Due to the fact the event was organized during the Token2049 conference, the attendees at the meetup were beginners in the Polkadot ecosystem. The content for Phala Network was presented on a basic level and reached high interest. Attendees were very inspired by Phala’s tech and PhatContract.
