WHAT IS NFT NYC?
NFT.NYC is the largest and most respected NFT conference in the world. Celebrating its fourth year, the conference returned for a three-day in-person event that brings together fans, influencers, and developers of NFTs. This year’s event attracted more than 15,000 artists and enthusiasts, and more than 1,500 speakers across multiple venues in the heart of New York.
Phala Network co-hosted a few NFT NYC side events with other excellent projects during NFT NYC. Co-founder Marvin Tong, core developer Josh, Head of Europe growth Zoe, and global marketing manager Jojo attended the events representing Phala.

Event 1: NFT NYC Expect Chaos

This event was sponsored by Phalaworld, RMRK, NFT3, Public pressure, and Brave Browser. During the event, Phala met with many good projects in the Kusama ecosystem and people that are very interested in NFTs in general and was able to introduce PhalaWorld to the broader NFT community.

Event 2: Exclusive NFT Penthouse Social@ NFT NYC

Phala co-hosted this event with Manta Network and Kucoin.
The event allowed exposure of Phala Network and Phala world to a wider NFT, Metaverse audience, and also a wide range of different funds and investors who have been invited to the event.
Events like this are crucial for our ecosystem in order to spread the word and gain exposure in the wider ecosystem. Given the timing of Phalaworld, this is the perfect event to drive hype for the project.

Event 3: Polkadot Hacker House

The first ever Polkadot Hacker House was in New York City, between June 23 and 28. This six-day event for developers, coders, engineers, and builders will be filled with technical workshops, in-person support, mentorship, and networking.
Phala held workshops during the event and met with many talented developers.

What have we achieved in NFT NYC?
NFT NYC is not like any other event Phala has participated in before. We were able to meet so many interesting projects and creative people during the event. We believe this was a great opportunity for both Phala Network and PhalaWorld to reach out to a broader audience with different interests as well. By networking with people from different backgrounds, we were able to generate more ideas for the growth of Phala.
At the same time, we also saw many quality projects, builders, and developers and shared many interesting topics while introducing Phala, and reduced the perception gap between different regions in relation to Web3 development.

The costs here include airfare, hotel, and transportation for four Phala team members. As well as sponsorship costs for side events, and printing of materials, as detailed in the table below.
