Over the past two years, Phala team have contributed significantly to the Network by supporting critical infrastructure, including Gatekeeper (GK) nodes, Collator nodes, and RPC services, along with ongoing hardware, human resources, and operational investments.
We request reimbursement from the Treasury to cover 4,385,613 PHA for hardware, data center, network, cloud services, GK gas fees, and maintenance costs.
Our contributions include:
• Deployment of GK and Collator nodes ensuring network stability and security.
• Reliable public RPC services for community, as well as developers and partners.
• Community-accessible databases supporting Phala and Khala products.
This reimbursement will help alleviate financial burdens and ensure the continued high-quality support of the network’s operations. Transparency and long-term commitment to improving the network are assured.
As dedicated contributors to the Phala Network, we have invested substantial resources over the past two years to ensure the smooth operation and development of the ecosystem. These efforts span across multiple critical areas, including but not limited to:
1. Gatekeeper (GK) Node Support
We provided reliable computational and storage capabilities for Phala’s Gatekeeper nodes, which are essential for network security and distributed trust.
2. Collator Node Services
To ensure seamless block production and validation for the Phala Network as a parachain, we deployed and maintained high-performance Collator nodes.
3. RPC Services
We offered robust and reliable RPC node services to support developers and users in interacting with the Phala Network, along with ongoing technical support.
To sustain these services, we allocated the following resources:
a. Hardware Infrastructure
• Server Equipment
High-performance CPUs, memory, SSD storage, and network infrastructure.
• Data Center Maintenance
Costs for power and network upkeep.
b. Human Resources
• Development and Maintenance Team
A skilled team dedicated to monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing node operations.
• Technical Support
Providing assistance and solutions to the community and developers.
c. Operational Costs
• Hosting Fees
Server hosting, bandwidth usage, and equipment upgrades.
• Energy Consumption
Power requirements for server operations.
We request reimbursement from the Phala Treasury to cover the following:
a. Hardware Cost Reimbursement
Compensation for the procurement and maintenance of infrastructure over the past two years.
b. Human Resource Reimbursement
Reimbursement for the team’s time and expertise in providing technical development, maintenance, and support.
a. Network Stability and Security
Our infrastructure and services have been fundamental to the stable operation of the Phala Network.
b. Community and Developer Support
By offering reliable RPC services, we have facilitated the growth and activity of the developer ecosystem.
c. Increased Network Activity
The efficient operation of Collator nodes ensures a seamless user and developer experience, contributing to the overall ecosystem’s vibrancy.
a. Transparency in Fund Allocation
We will provide detailed spending plans and regular updates to the community to ensure accountability.
b. Long-term Support Commitment
We will continue to provide computational support and explore new solutions to enhance network performance and stability.
Through this funding application, we aim to alleviate the financial burden of our past contributions and further support the Phala Network’s development. We look forward to the community’s approval and support!
